BEVERLEY

Christmas Fayre at Beverley Minster

26 November 2011 from 10.30am to 1.30pm

Christmas gifts & cards, stalls, refreshments, tombola, raffle (prizes drawn at 1pm).

Adults 50p, under-18s free

Beverley Festival of Christmas

11 December 2011 from 10am to 4pm

Beverley town centre

Traditional Christmas Market, reindeer display, Sealed Knot Society re-enactment, Victorian Street re-enactment, Beverley & District Pipe Band, Beverley Brass Band, 150th (Yorkshire) Regiment Transport Band, choirs, dancers, and lots more. And Santa’s Sleigh Ride at 10.30am. Free parking at Beverley Racecourse with bus service to town centre – adults £1 (return), children free.

Christmas Craft and Gift Fair at Burton Constable Hall

DRIFFIELD

Christmas Craft and Food Fair

2-4 December 2011 from 10am to 4.30pm

Sledmere Home Farm, Sledmere, Driffield YO25 3XG

More than 100 stalls with crafts, gift ideas & food in readiness for the Christmas period. Saturday and Sunday rides to the deer park to post letters to Santa from 11am to 3pm (£3 per person adult & child). Visit Father Christmas.

HORNSEA

Christmas Light Switch On

HULL

Christmas Light Switch On and Late Night Shopping

From 5pm, 24 November 2011

Hull City Centre, 1 Paragon Street, Hull HU1 3NA

It all takes place from 5pm in Queen Victoria Square – there’ll be live music, the “Snow and Lights snowflake community art project” and then the BIG SWITCH ON at around 6:50pm. Everyone can take part in the Father Christmas Parade from 6pm, walking next to the land train from Holy Trinity to Hull’s City Hall, followed by a spectacular abseiling Father Christmas!!

The Ferens Art Gallery will be transformed into a giant snow globe.

There will be plenty of other entertainment, including some favourite panto characters, Christmas illuminations, a magical event to kick off the festive season.
