Fans of BBC One’s recent hit, The Syndicate, will be delighted to learn that the BBC have commissioned a brand new series for 2013 from the producers, Rollem Productions.

The current series (with Timothy Spall, Lorraine Bruce, Matthew Lewis, Matthew McNulty and Joanna Page) reached its climax last week and finished having received rave reviews (and excellent viewing figures).

Series 2 (which will again be written and produced by Kay Mellor and her team at Rollem) will tell the stories of a different group of lottery winners. Kay said she has found the response by viewers of the first series absolutely thrilling, and that she really enjoyed working on it. She’s also immensely pleased for everyone at Rollem that the BBC have commissioned a further series.

Rollem Productions is based in Leeds, where the first series was set (including at the fabulous hotel in Masham near Ripon where the winners of the lottery held their party – Swinton Park, see here for more info).

If you missed any of the episodes of this brilliant drama, you can catch up with the BBC’s iPlayer.
