AN EVENING WITH KATE ATKINSON (booking essential)
Friday, 15 July at 7.30pm
“Started Early, Took My Dog”, Kate’s latest novel is set in part at Fountains Abbey, and the York-born author will talk about her work in this awe-inspiring setting. The evening will take place in either the Abbey Cloister or the Abbey Cellarium, depending on the weather.

SUMMER PARTY
Friday, 22 July from 6pm ’til 11pm
Fountain Abbey’s very first Summer Party – Pimms in the Elizabeth Garden with a string trio, and a barbecue in the Restaurant Garden with a ceilidh to conclude the evening.

SCHOOL HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES: WILD CHILD!
Daily, from Saturday, 23 July to Sunday, 4 September from 11am ’til 4pm
There’s a fabulous array of things to do at Fountains Abbey this holiday – from making butterflies and moths in the craft workshops, to following a themed trail around the large estate. Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays are dress-up days – come along as a monk and discover what daily life at the Abbey was like. On Saturday and Sunday, 6-7 August, pop along to our bees and bee keeping days.

GET GEORGIAN!
Sunday, 28 August from 11am ’til 4pm
A wonderful afternoon of elegance and entertainment in the 18th century Water Garden. There will be a presentation from the History Wardrobe on the Portrait of a Lady, and take part in the Regency dancing.
