There are two great events coming up in Slingsby in May and June 2012:

Scarecrow Weekend

This year’s Scarecrow Weekend will take place over May Day bank holiday. Almost 30 scarecrows will be popping up all over the village. Teas and coffees will be served in the School Reading Rooms on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th May between midday and 4pm and on the Village Green from 1pm on Bank Holiday Monday (7th May). Trails (£1 each) will be available from Robin Hood Caravan Park, Tony’s Village Shop and the School. Everyone is welcome to vote for their favourite scarecrow and everyone that votes will be entered into a lucky dip to win a £20 book token.
