To celebrate Halloween, the Tropical Butterfly House is putting on a series of events throughout October which will provide plenty of fun for all the family – especially the children.

The special events will be held every weekend this month and all half-term (22-30 October) from 10am to 5pm and include Haunted Hayride though the Freaky Forest, a Haunted House, and ghouls and ghosts round every corner.

In the Activity Centre there’ll be creepy crafts along with games and activities  – including carving pumpkins and decorating them. There’ll also be face-glitter tattoos, painting, along with the odd ghost story or two.

Other activities include Trick or Treating the Witch in the Woods, sampling witches’ brews and spooky snacks and a fancy dress competition for kids – so don’t forget the Halloween outfit.

And the Centre’s animals and birds won’t be left out either as the Presenters will be staging a magical show with a Pirate-theme, with free-flying parrots and birds of prey, on a daily basis during the event.

It’s a great end to a fantastically successful season for the Tropical Butterfly House. As Chrissie Jackson, Head Keeper says, “The entire team are looking forward to giving visitors the heebie jeebies!”
