Castle Howard

Castle Howard Stately Home and Gardens are located only 15 miles north east of city of York (just off the main A64) and is very close to the North York Moors. The Baroque Mansion House was built between 1699 and 1712 for Charles Howard, the 3^rd Earl of Carlisle to a design by Sir John Vanbrugh and has been the home of the Howard family for over 300 years. It’s also known worldwide as being chosen for the famous movie and TV versions of “Brideshead Revisited”.
