Cononley Hall Bed and Breakfast

Cononley

18th century Grade 2 listed building offering highest standards of comfort, close to historic town of Skipton and Yorkshire Dales

From £90.00
per room per night

Cononley Hall is in the small village of Cononley, close to Skipton in the Aire Valley. It's a Grade 2 listed Georgian building, set in copious attractive gardens and offers Bed and Breakfast to a very high standard: it has five-star Guest Accommodation status (awarded by the Yorkshire Tourist Board) - an achievement only gained by establishments offering exceptional levels of comfort and hospitality.

Cononley Hall has just three guest bedrooms, but they are all very special, and all have views overlooking the Hall's beautifully laid out landscaped garden. All of the rooms are en suite, and decorated tastefully whilst retaining original features. All have the comfort of their guests very much in mind - whether staying for business or leisure purposes - and each room has a flat-screen TV, Freeview, DVD, radio alarm clock and WiFi internet access. Bathrobes are provided and towels are changed on a daily basis.

There is a choice of beds - one room has a king-size, another has twin beds which can be converted into a super king-size, and the third has a luxurious four-poster bed, ideal for a special romantic holiday.

Just as important as the beds in a B&B is the breakfast and Cononley Hall goes to great lengths to make this special too. A full English breakfast is served in the Hall's very attractive dining room, and uses local produce as far as possible - including eggs from Cononley Hall's own free range hens. And guests can arrange a picnic lunch for their hikes across moor and dale.

At the other end of the day, after a day exploring the many delights of the area or that all-important business meeting, guests can relax in the very pleasant conservatory which looks out onto the garden.

And talking of exploration, the local area has a wealth of things to offer. Nearby Skipton is a little treasure of a market town, with the centre piece being its medieval castle - one of the best preserved in the country. Skipton also has lots of original and interesting shops, and a great selection of cafes, tea rooms and restaurants. Another attraction well worth a visit is the Mart Theatre - which manages to combine in the one setting an active rural theatre and entertainment venue with a fully operational auction mart!

The glorious North Yorkshire countryside is also right on the doorstep - so whether it's a walk in the Yorkshire Dales or atop Ilkley Moor (with or without a hat) visitors won't have far to travel. Haworth, the town at the centre of Bronte country is also near at hand and well worth a visit. And there's lots, lots more to see and do.

In short, Cononley Hall is the ideal bed and breakfast accommodation for both business and leisure guests and guests will be given the warmest of welcomes by Pam and Andy Gregory.
