Enjoying the best possible location on the Park and having a south facing position, Fountain Lake Lodge benefits from sunshine all day long. The Lodge is tastefully decorated and furnished throughout. The widely spacious open plan lounge, dining and kitchen area offers a very comfortable and relaxing experience. Open the lounge French doors to reveal the beautifully stunning Lake view, and stepping out through the second set of French doors takes you through to the 6-seater dining table, so you can relax and enjoy eating outdoors in total comfort, luxury and peace.

The Lodge is fitted with gas fired central heating throughout. An electric fire is available within the Lounge which sets the scene for cosy relaxing evenings settling in front of the TV or listening to relaxing music. The LCD TV has Freeview and also available is a DVD player, CD player and iPod docking station. The Lodge also has free Wi-Fi so the internet can be accessed throughout your holiday. The kitchen has all the amenities expected of today's 'home -from -home' requirements.

Fountain Lake Lodge is perfectly based for visiting the historic city of York, the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, Yorkshire Coast (including Scarborough, Whitby and Filey to name a few) and the wonderful Yorkshire Dales (all around just over an hour's drive away). If it's a day at the races you fancy, then York Races and Thirsk Racecourse are both equally a short travelling distance. Sutton Park (early Georgian Stately Home) is a 'must visit', being located within the village. With its beautifully landscaped gardens, House of treasures, woodland walk, Birds of Prey Centre, Children's Adventure Playground and unique gift shop, there's no time for boredom! The cafe holds an excellent reputation for home-cooked food including lunches and afternoon tea.

Located deep within the countryside there are lots of country walks and bike rides to enjoy whilst visiting the pretty neighbouring villages where many gastro pubs can be found (to refuel your energy levels) and enjoy the stunning countryside views. Only a few steps away from the Lodge is the private Coarse Fishing Lake which is well stocked with Rudd, Roach, Tench and Carp. Golf courses at Easingwold, Wigginton and Stockton-on-the-Forest near York are all within short travelling distance too.

Restrictions: Please note that pets are not allowed (sorry), no stag or hen parties and strictly no smoking inside the Log Cabin.
