Graculus Sculptures

A visit to Graculus Sculptures  is a ‘must’ when you’re visiting Reeth in Swaledale. This is recycling at its very best! Michael is well known for transforming inanimate corpses of machinery and copper in to the most incredible menagerie of mythical creatures.

Michael produces an exclusive and unique range of hand-made numbered sculptures, predonimantly out of recycled copper for indoor and outdoor enjoyment. Copper is a fantastic metal to work with, being versatile for when stretching, shrinking, casting, electro-plating, hammering and punching.

Before your visit, watch the amazing video on Michael’s website to give you an insight and understanding of the transformation from recycled materials in to spectacular objects, see a copper cylinder being cut to form pieces for the creation of a ‘Graculus Rook’.

It’s amazing stuff. With the addition of Graculus wildlife you can transform your garden and home into your own enchanted kingdom and inhabit dragons and sea serpents to create your own mythical world. During your visit, meet Michael and view the sculptures which are currently ‘work in progress’.
