Just a short walk from the lovely market town of Pickering, bordering meadows where cows and sheep graze, our 9 unique 4* holiday cottages are ideally located for those in search of a relaxing break.
Pickering is a vibrant town with plenty for visitors to see and do, with attractions including the famous North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway, a Victorian museum, historic 12th century castle, indoor swimming pool, as well as its bustling market, shops, pubs and restaurants, many of which sell top quality local produce.
The cottages were converted from stone stables and barns, and surround a courtyard and fountain, which adjoin large gardens with a garden house and barbecue and play area. Each property is brimming with character, and sympathetic restoration has enabled them to retain many original features such as traditional stone fireplaces, beamed ceilings and pan tiled roofs. The cottages have been furnished to a very high standard and benefit from plenty of room to manoeuvre, comfortable furniture and superbly-equipped kitchens.
If you’re celebrating a special occasion, or would simply like to take the ‘self’ out of self-catering, we can prepare and personally serve a gourmet meal to you in your cottage. We can also arrange catering for birthdays, anniversaries, barbecues and picnics, and can provide a good range of frozen meals which have been produced locally.
Pickering lies on the edge of the beautiful North York Moors National Park, where pretty little villages are scattered over rolling hills, and surrounded by heather clad moorland and luscious forests. The National Park stretches all the way to Yorkshire’s stunning Heritage Coastline, with its sandy, fossil-rich beaches, majestic towering cliffs, and quaint seaside villages. The historic city of York is within easy reach, and the area is peppered with majestic stately homes, castles, fascinating museums and so much more.
