Rosedale Abbey Caravan Park

Rosedale

An idyllic, quiet location for relaxing, with stunning views over the North York Moors National Park. Tent and touring sites.

From £15.00
per night

Rosedale Abbey Caravan Park is situated to one side of the beautiful and peaceful village of Rosedale in the North York Moors National Park. The surrounding countryside is absolutely beautiful, with pleasant meadows giving way to stunning moorland, and it’s the ideal place for a family holiday or a romantic getaway-from-it-all break for two.

The Caravan Park provides just about all the options you could need - there are touring caravan pitches, motorvan pitches, tent pitches and five very fine holiday cottages on the western edge of the village. And all set in very pleasant surroundings next to the River Seven, with magnificent views of the National Park.

Rosedale Caravan Park has excellent facilities including metered electric hook-ups, a shop, a public telephone, a launderette, showers and toilets, a children’s play area, a picnic area, disabled facilities and dog walking areas (dogs allowed subject to prior agreement).

And there’s also a non-electric camping area for those who prefer getting back to basics.

Rosedale is one of a number of valleys in the North York Moors and is noted for its breath-taking scenery. The village of Rosedale Abbey has shops, cafés, pubs and a church which incorporates the remains of the priory which was the original settlement here. It’s set in superb walking and cycling country - with walks and rides to suit a range of abilities.

Rosedale Caravan Park is less than 10 miles from Pickering where you’ll find the North Yorkshire Moors Railway with steam trains to Goathland (better known as Aikensfield in the ITV series “Heartbeat”). Pickering is also home to a fine castle and the Beck Isle Museum of rural life and plenty of excellent shops, tea rooms and restaurants. In the other direction lies the market town of Helmsley with country houses, Rievaulx Abbey, and many other interesting tourist attractions.

The historic City of York is around an hour’s drive away to the south, and is a must-visit place for anyone staying in the area.

And to the east of Rosedale lie the amazing seaside resorts of Whitby (17 miles), Robin Hood’s Bay (21 miles) and Scarborough (27 miles) - all with golden sands, and loads of things to do to suit all tastes.

And if, after you’ve stayed at Rosedale Caravan Park, you want to move on to enjoy another part of Yorkshire, Flower of May have a number of other parks in the county including Riverside Meadows Park in the historic town of Ripon.
