Visit Ryedale Folk Museum, based at the beautiful village of Hutton-le-Hole near Pickering in the North York Moors and enjoy a great day out.

Step back in time at the beautiful open-air Ryedale Folk Museum to learn about Ryedale's rich heritage from centuries past. History truly is brought to life. The site spans 6 acres with over 20 buildings, showcasing different aspects of rural life through restored historic buildings and living landscapes and covers 2,000 years of history from the Iron Age up to and including the 1950s.

Within the 6 acres you’ll be able to visit the Iron-Age Round House, Fold-Yard Farming Display, Orchard, Manor House, Village Trade Shops, Village Shop and Post Office, Craft Workshops, Blacksmith’s, Crofters Cottage, Victorian Gardens, Witches Hovel, Wash House and Dairy and much, much more.

The “Harrison Collection” gives an insight in to everyday antiques and rare curiosities arranged by Richard and Edward Harrison. It really is a ‘must see’. The collection spans 5 centuries of history and covers everything from brain surgery tools to cooking utensils.
