The Feathers

The Feathers is a traditional Yorkshire inn located on the busy market square in Helmsley, the friendly staff offer a relaxed service providing an enjoyable experience at a great price.

Situated in the North Yorkshire Moors National Park Helmsley is the perfect location from which to enjoy the best that North Yorkshire has to offer. It is great walking country being at the start of the 110 mile Cleveland way and surrounded by beautiful countryside and idyllic villages. A range of other activities such as gliding, pony trekking, mountain biking, fishing and golf are all available nearby. The famous coastal resorts of Whitby, with its links to Captain Cook, and Scarborough are also within easy reach.

The Feathers has a range of 22 en suite bedrooms which are all comfortably furnished with colour televisions and tea and coffee making facilities. Family rooms are available. Dogs are welcome in certain rooms, it is advisable to telephone the hotel if you plan to bring a dog with you. Please note that dogs are not allowed in rooms where food is being served.  

Guests can enjoy a traditional Yorkshire cooked breakfast as well as cereals, fresh fruit, toast and preserves fruit juice, tea and coffee. Meals are served in the bright and pleasant, atmosphere of the atrium or in the Feversham Bar with its beamed ceilings and views across the market square.  We use high quality local produce which is prepared with care in the hotels kitchens. The Pickwick Bar with its stone floor, original Mouseman furniture and open fire is the perfect place to enjoy our selection of cask ales.

The Feathers is a popular venue for events, weddings and private parties. We are able to cater for groups as small as 10 as well as larger functions of up to 200 guests.
