Upstairs Downstairs is a fantastic family-owned business situated in the beautiful market town of Thirsk where it has been established for many years.

Come rest your weary legs in our tearooms and let us pamper you with our excelllent range of hot and cold food, prepared freshly on the premises. Most of the items on our menu are baked/cooked on the premises too, so you can be sure that the meals we serve are of the highest quality.

You can browse our delicatessen and select from a wide range of products, all produced regionally, including biscuits, cakes, jams and chutneys. We also stock local freshly-baked bread and offer a variety of scones, fruit pies and quiches, all baked right here on the premises. And don't forget to browse our tempting range of European meats, cheeses and pâtés, or take out a sandwich freshly made to order.

Kickstart your day with a visit to our sandwich bar, where you'll find a range of tasty take-away breakfasts and hot sandwiches. At lunchtime you can choose from an extensive variety of sandwich fillings (all prepared fresh on the premises), along with jacket potatoes and salad trays. In the summer months, we have a lovely ice cream counter offering a tempting variety of famous, made-in-Wensleydale Brymor dairy ice creams!
