Wood View Guest House

Austwick

A cosy and inviting 18th Century farmhouse with wooden beams and open fires, located in the village of Austwick and surrounded by spectacularly diverse countryside.

From £37.00
per person per night

Wood View is not just one of the oldest farmhouses in Austwick (built around 1700) and a Grade II listed building, but is also the home of David and Sue Dewhirst, who take great pride in offering a warm welcome to their guests.

It’s a home full of character with open fires and wooden beams, and the guest rooms are spacious and comfortably furnished.

The welcome starts with complimentary refreshments on arrival, and carries on with a hospitality tray and toiletries in the bedrooms - all of which have either an en suite shower or bath.

Austwick is a small village in the Yorkshire Dales, part of which lies in the National Park and the remainder in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The surrounding countryside is quite stunning and includes waterfalls, huge boulders, dry stone walls, hills (the Three Peaks are nearby), and limestone pavements. It’s the perfect place for a walking or cycling holiday, or for just pottering around in a car. The village has a highly regarded pub, the Gamecock Inn, which serves excellent food.
