Situated on the edge of York, this beautiful country house hotel is a Grade II listed building. Originally a 17th Century farmhouse, the building underwent extensive renovations in 1785 and 1820.
An impressive range of original features remain in the hotel, and give the building a sense of period charm. They include individually designed bedrooms with antique furniture; large open fireplaces; original wood panelled walls and wood and stone floors; private walled gardens and four poster beds.
Each of the beautiful bedrooms has its own unique features, some with balconies, some with lavish bathrooms, some with four poster beds, and some with beautiful garden views.
Langton's Brasserie is the hotel restaurant, which produces a wide range of dishes using fresh, local produce. It's a great place to relax and enjoy good food in a relaxed atmosphere.
The hotel also owns 6 self contained apartments.
