Bridlington has some of the finest beaches in Yorkshire, and its long golden sands are just one of the many features which make it one of the best family holiday resorts in the country.
It lies about 15 miles south of Filey and a similar distance north of Hornsea to the northern end of a long bay which has Flamborough Head to the north, and Spurn Point to the south.

It has a working harbour, which is still home to a small number of fishing boats.
Besides lounging on one of the award-winning Blue Flag beaches, or swimming in the sea, there are loads of things to do for all people of all ages, and all interests. There are several museums and galleries within the town, as well as a theatre and entertainment centre, and there are plenty of walks of varying degrees of difficulty in and around the town.
A recent addition to Bridlington's attractions is the Gasworx Skateboard park.
A highlight for many visitors is a trip to Flamborough Head and the RSPB reserve at Bempton Cliffs (which is particularly exciting at nesting time in spring).
Talking point: Lawrence of Arabia (TE Lawrence) worked here for the RAF in the 1930s.
